A deep and dark welcome into Scorpio season, which invites us to get a little uncomfortable and to bring the light of truth into our most hidden parts of self. I would say buckle up, but no metaphorical seatbelt will keep us from experiencing this energy - we may as well embrace it, knowing that it is perfectly safe for us to do so, even when it feels like it is not. That is where the trust comes in. Scorpio knows that we are more than these bodies. Scorpio knows this is but a fleeting moment and that the truth of who we are is limitless, infinite, and indestructible.
We begin this season with a soul-cracking bang as we move through a partial solar eclipse (dark moon) in Scorpio on the 25th of October - which is enough to make any astrology-follower shudder to their bones, but you are no average soul. I urge you to embrace this moment with all the strength that you can muster.
I know that we are connected for a reason. I know that you have found me for a reason. And I happen to have been born under the black moon in Scorpio. So this eclipse happens in conjunction with my natal moon and my natal Pluto. It is my biggest sore point, and also my greatest strength - funny how that happens.
Your biggest pain point is the key to your greatest power.
While many may quiver through this energy, we are here to remember the immense might that is found in these moments. We have the opportunity to see ourselves and release what is no longer aligning. The potential for metamorphosis present here is simply phenomenal.
Normally I recommend that people do not practice any magic around an eclipse, but this energy excites me too much. I still would not work with manifestation magic - but it is the perfect energy for a major release. Work with the energy of surrender. Call in the healing earth energy. Ground and allow.
Let us shed those old skins.
Let us dance under the starlight as we allow ourselves to convulse the traumas out.

We are reminded that so much of our strength is found in the moments of darkness, and so many of our gifts grow out of these murky depths. We are reminded too, that darkness is not a bad thing, for a child grows within the darkness of the womb, and the seed incubates in the rich and nourishing darkness of the earth.
So much subsistence, transformation, and magic lives in the dark.
Because this eclipse is also conjunct with Venus, themes around relationships, love, romance, boundaries, and sexuality will be highlighted. In this moment of release and seeing of self, allow the truth to be revealed and wait to act upon the new information. Meditate upon it. The eclipse energy is not great for making decisions and taking action. Sit with it. Be with it. Allow it to move through. Give yourself time to process. It is not the moment for the conversation. Many may feel called to break certain relations or to walk away from situations. Acknowledge your feelings and intuition, and let them stew before making your final decision. With Jupiter square to Mars, we will do well to heed this warning.
On the 31st of October, we have a moment that marks the thinnest point in the veil between worlds (physical and spiritual). This day is approximately halfway between the equinox and the solstice and has been celebrated across many cultures and traditions for centuries - most commonly known these days as Halloween.
